RAISING MONEY FOR & SPREADING THE WORD

ABOUT DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AWARENESS

As Alpha Chi Omega sister, we raise awareness for domestic violence by promoting healthy relationships - hosting various philanthropy events throughput the year, and donating supplies to our local shelter for domestic violence survivors, Peaceful Paths.

Our main philanthropic event is Purple Rain is our large philanthropy event we put on in the spring, which is a 5-on-5 dodge-ball style tournament using paint-soaked foam dodge-balls. Various Panhellenic, IFC, and other campus organizations, coached by our sisters, compete in these events to help us raise money for domestic violence awareness.

Peaceful Paths is located here in Gainesville and serves as a shelter for women who are victims of domestic abuse. In addition to Purple Rain, we host multiple service events to raise funds and supplies to help our local shelter and promote domestic violence awareness.

The fight against domestic violence is an every-day battle, but by working together, we can help end the fight.
